The Daily Plays
The Daily Plays is a responsive event that sees exhilarating theatre about the here and now made in collaboration with local artists.
Five short original plays are made in five days. Each event offers a good night out for no more than the price of a cinema ticket as well as a space to discuss the things affecting the world today.
On the week of the event, five theatre makers are challenged to make five short plays in response to five different newspapers. Saturday’s performance then sees the brand new short plays take to the stage, followed by an open debate on the topics, both local and global, that the plays have engaged with.
